Basil Mayonnaise

1 cup diced fresh basil leaves
1 egg (room temperature)
1 tbs fresh lemon juice
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup vegetable oil
salt & pepper

Finely dice 1 cup fresh basil leaves. Place in a food processor or blender. Add the egg and lemon juice. Begin to blend and slowly add in olive oil and vegetable oil. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Transfer to a small bowl or jar and refrigerate. Mayonnaise should be used within 5 days.
