Sourdough Whole Wheat Bread

For two loaves:

4 cups white or bread flour
2 cups whole wheat flour
1/4 cup starter
2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 to 3 cups warm water

Mix together all ingredients and knead for a few minutes. Add enough water so that dough can be worked. Leave overnight in the bowl. The next day divide into two pieces and place in greased loaf pans. Allow to rise again. This should take 1 to 2 hours. Bake at 400F for abut 45 minutes.
